Files that must exist in the ZIP
- followers_*.json
- following_*.json
- Often under connections/followers_and_following/.
- If you don’t see followers.json, look for followers_1.json (new format). Files can be split and often use string_list_data.
Why files go missing
- Export was incomplete or interrupted.
- HTML format was selected.
- Connections data was not included.
How to fix a missing-files export
- Request a fresh export in JSON.
- Make sure Connections is selected.
- Wait for the ready email and download again.
Verify before importing
- Open the ZIP and search for the filenames.
- Confirm files are not empty.
- Use the newest export.
