Is SecureFollow safe?
SecureFollow is a web app at securefollow.app that analyzes your official Instagram export (ZIP) in the browser.
We never ask for your Instagram password and we do not upload your files.
What SecureFollow is

It reads the official Instagram export (ZIP/JSON) to show unfollowers, not following back, and mutuals.
Everything runs locally in your browser.
What SecureFollow is not
- Not a login-based app (no password).
- Not an Instagram API client.
- Not a file upload service (your ZIP stays on your device).
Built for large exports
Designed for very large exports (up to ~1.5M connections). Processing happens locally on your device, so we never see your data.
- Parsing runs locally with Web Workers to keep the UI responsive.
- There is no backend upload pipeline with size limits.
Privacy proof (how to verify)
- Open DevTools -> Network.
- Import a ZIP and confirm there are no uploads.
- Go offline after the page loads and confirm the app still works with already imported data.
- Optional: check Application -> Storage to inspect or delete local data.
