Security
SecureFollow is built so you can analyze your export without uploading it to any server. This page summarizes the security model and how to verify it.
Security model (summary)
- ZIP analysis runs locally in your browser.
- We don’t upload your files or your user lists.
- We don’t ask for your Instagram password.
Your export is sensitive. If you’re unsure, use an incognito window and clear site data when you’re done.
Account safety
- We don’t log in to Instagram or use unofficial APIs.
- We don’t automate actions (a common cause of action blocks).
- Using the official export helps reduce common triggers.
No tool can guarantee you'll never be rate-limited by Instagram, but SecureFollow avoids the common triggers caused by third-party follower apps.
Offline-first
After the first load, the app can work offline to review already imported results.
- You can switch to airplane mode and keep exploring already generated lists.
- If you save snapshots, they remain on your device.
Pro (payments & activation)
Pro adds activation and payments. This part requires a backend to validate purchases and activations.
- The backend stores minimal data: purchase email, activations, and hashes (not your ZIP).
- Instagram exports and their content are not uploaded or stored.
You can use SecureFollow in Free mode without activating Pro (local-only).
Quick verification
- Open DevTools → Network.
- Import a ZIP and confirm there are no file uploads.
- If you want, disconnect from the internet and confirm the app still works with already imported data.
