SecureFollow is designed so you can verify what stays on your device: no password, no uploads, and full control over local storage.
Summary
- No login or Instagram password required.
- We don’t upload your ZIP or JSON files: analysis runs locally.
- You can delete saved history and local data anytime.
Tip: to verify, open DevTools → Network while importing. You should see zero uploads of your files.
What we do NOT do
- We never ask for your Instagram password.
- We don’t upload your export to our servers.
- We don’t process your export content outside your device.
What may be stored locally
- Preferences like language or UI settings.
- If you save snapshots, they are stored in your browser's local data on this device to compare changes.
- If you activate Pro, a token is stored locally on this device to remember your plan.
You can delete this data from within the app or by clearing site data in your browser.
How to verify
- Open DevTools → Network and import your export.
- Inspect requests: your files should not leave the browser.
- Optional: go offline after the page has loaded (airplane mode) and confirm the app still works.
- Open DevTools → Application → Storage to inspect/remove local data.
